Theofanis Roropoulos

Tenor Theofanis Roropoulos was born in Alexandroupoli, where he began his involvement with the music. He studied in England at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, taking the BA honors degree in Fashion Design & Marketing. Alongside he continued studying voice, while very important was his participation in the musical "Godspel" which went to Ealing Broadway (West End) in London in October 2000. Returning to Greece he studied alongside tenor Giorgos Zervano and then with soprano Martha Arapi. In June 2011 he received his diploma with Mrs. Myrsini Margaritis. He participated in the recording of opera Alexander the Great in 2007. He is a member of the troupe's comic opera "Opera.κωμ" and the eight-member acapella group «Eklipsis». In March 2011, as a temporary partner of ERT Choir, he appeared in the Requiem of Faure in the Onassis Cultural Centr and in the same year (May) he took part in the opera "Antigone" by Mr. Theodoros Stathis, which rose in the Athens Concert Hall under the baton of R.Pylarinos, directed by Lee Breuer.
